The noodles were recommended by the guy on the phone but had no taste, chewy and dry.
The Peking ribs were soggy! The batter pretty much fell off and was swimming in the sauce.
The guy who took our order tonight was calm and friendly.
Fried rice was ok
It’s just a chilli pepper chicken, with chips and FROZEN spring rolls from your local supermarket/supplier. It’s Japanese curry sauce like for katsu curry. lol
When we picked up our order a lady served us and she had no smile and looked grumpy.
Overall underwhelming.

Seriously high level food.
Portion size out of this world. Curry sauce on with the spice box isn’t like anything else in Perth.
Even the prawn crackers were amazing.

Hot Food. Handsome Owner. Worth the Wait.
At Kumleng, the 3 in 1—crispy chicken balls, rich curry sauce, and fluffy egg fried rice—is a game-changer. Throw in the fiery Spice Box and you’re officially spoiled.
Sure, sometimes the wait’s a little long…
But just take a look at the handsome owner, and suddenly—waiting doesn’t feel so bad.
I waited for 70 mins and it’s all worth it

I discovered Kum Leng from Perth dude food. I saw the chicken spice box and thought damn I've always wanted to try the classic Irish Chinese cult favorite.
I was going to pre order one today. But I saw that they have closed pre orders through all the delivery apps. Then I saw the post about the negative reviews. I also saw all of the measured thoughtful and genuinely apologetic responses from the owners.
So I'm going to wait a couple weeks before I try to order one.
People who have left negative reviews need to understand how hospitality kitchens operate. I have worked in the same industry for 20 years.
A kitchen does not want to waste food, it cuts into profits, and it's unethical. A kitchen will prepare enough food to handle a night or weekends service based on past sales, from week to week and year to year, it factors in numerous changing situations, school holidays, public holidays, is there a big sports event on? A big concert, is the demographic of people in the area the type of people that really love that type of food. (International rules aussie vs irealand game on?) Some nights it can be surprisingly busy others are bit quieter, it all goes in the diary to make sure next time they can be better prepared.
Of course they also want everyone to have a good experience, we don't like to disappointment guests ever.
So when a viral tik tok video goes up and Everyman and his dog goes "omg i want that now" and all order at the same time. WITHOUT the kitchen having any idea about the post then you have no right to be mad at them. Influencers need to communicate with the restaurant they can't just dropped that advertising. When a restaurant calculates an official advertising push they always make sure they are ready for the spike in trade. It's a tough industry and not every small businesses can afford a staff member to sit on social media in case there's a post out of the blue.
The staff working front of house are probably going to get a little upset, because guess what they are human. not only are they stressed by the demands of guests but mean attitudes thrown at them when it is completely out of control.
The world doesn't revolve around you, and negative opinions of hospo staff working as hard as they can is straight up rude. Be nice to the people who make your food!
If you think you know better go work in a kitchen and get back to me.
Looking forward to trying this restaurant, because they seem like a really good bunch of people, the humour in the uber eats listing is a testament to that.
Good luck team.
